Hunter Warfield review: They don't update paid debts, rip off company

Rip off company! I paid a debt with them and they refuse to update the credit bureaus. After 3 days of calling I was finally able to speak with a very rude Gomez who told me they will keep it on my credit for 7 years! Even though I paid them, they're still going to destroy my credit with an active debt!

There is a lady there that is very nice but her supervisor, Stephen or Steven was the biggest *** and let his mouth overrun his mind. Hysterical to me!

Details
Authorized a 1 time payment over phone for $100. They took $154. Then did the same the next month. If this is the 3rd party collector- don't pay it. They will scam you, your debt won't get resolved. You are better off taking the hit on your credit.

I agree. They won't negotiate.

They won't remove the entry on the credit report. It's not worth the effort to negotiate. As the OP said, take the hit, work on other areas on your credit. As time goes on, the hit has less influence.

I'm almost two years into a situation with them and my credit is almost 700.

I tried and tried to negotiate with them and they just don't. Please, don't waste any time with these ***.

Collection agent "alex" said he would send in for review when I told him there was an email from co who sent me to collections stating they had made a mistake. He got rude when I told him I needed it fixed now. Said I had to wait for "process", and hung up on me. I called back and spoke with Jerry Crabial the "manager" and he said It was my fault I was even in collections cuz I didn't put in a change of address with the post office! He refused to listen to me and kept saying I have to wait. I have left a message for Steven sabotage the "VP or president" to call me. Let's see what happens. This company is very rude and loves to hang up on people. Kinda funny cuz aren't they supposed to get money? ra they supposed t try and get money???
