I think I already answered these questions.

Original review Apr 13, 2016
I am not able to speak on the phone. However, when I try to send them an email, they say I must call customer service. Not going to happen. Only letter says I owe a debt but not to who or for what. This is a shady outfit to say the least. I guess they will send the debt police to my door and then I can find out what it is they want. I'm blocking their calls now. I only have the phone for the convenience of my family and they won't talk to any of them. And I can't! And they don't want to know about it obviously.

Automated calls for months

There seems to be no way to stop this, the calls are not for me!

However there seems, to be no way to stop them , there is no option

with this automated system to stop these calls, not sure what they are for! I have tried to block the phone numbers on my phone service.

Only to receive more calls from another phone number! I am so angry

I pay my phone bill for the use of my phone. Where does this Hunter

Warfield get off using a service I pay for! I think I should be able to charge them for the use of my service, and all of the times I have been

inconvenienced running to answer a call that is not for me.

Won't Provide Proof of Debt -- Wants payment now -- Shady

I requested documentation of what the apartment said I owed and what the apartment said I paid. I wanted verification of my debt.

David Hines claimed it was my responsibility to prove to him that I paid the debt and to send copies of any checks. It is not my responsibility to prove anything. A debt collector must provide me with the bill and payments made. That is how they verified that I owe the bill. Then I show where he is missing payments. No bill, no money.

The guy actually said to me "so that's how you want to play." Yes, that's how I want to play. By the law. Prove to me that I owe you jack. I don't know that you truly work with my old apartments. You could be anyone. He has never sent me a letter or anything.

David Hines started to get nasty when I wanted everything in writing. He asked me for a fax. How many normal people have faxes?

They wanted to settle a bill for about 6 times what I owed. That was only if I paid right then and there. If they don't provide proof the bill is moot.

Candlewyck Apartments, where I lived in were bed bug infested and I know they are shady. I guess I should have figured that anyone that worked with them are also shady.

Delayed collection one year w/o advising fees were due; extorted extra fees; refused to provide documentation

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
In April 2015, I followed protocol when last apartment lease expired. I paid what I thought was the final bill. I left a forwarding address, telephone and email. Within the month, I received a statement from the apartments listing a "0" balance; I filed the statement away and thought everything was paid in full. This year, Feb 2, 2016, I was ready to move again and a collection notice mysteriously appeared on my credit bureau file two days earlier on January 31, 2016 stating I owed $148.00. As a result, I was refused an apartment lease. I was told to contact Hunter Warfield to resolve. When I called, I asked them to provide documentation substantiating my last payment. They refused. Extra service fees were applied in addition to $14.95 for credit card processing even though I was using a debit card. They told me a money order would take over 20 days and extend the timeframe needed to update my credit file. I claimed extortion! They knew my lease was expiring and I was trying to get approved for an apartment lease. Hunter Warfield never explained why they didn't call, write or email me for almost a year. The matter was a miscommunication that could have been resolved months ago yet they waited until I had to move and had no time to argue extra fees. Hunter Warfield is an unprofessional scam operation that should be closed down.

Harassing and undocumented

Continually Call my son and insisted he owes $2,000 to an apartment company that he once lived in with a roommate named Vince. He NEVER lived with a Vince and his obligation to them was paid in full.

They refuse to provide me with proof of debt and say that I must provide them a copy of my cancelled check for investigation. I am not doing this. I ask repeatedly to have proof because I consulted the apartment management and we have no debt with them and nothing has been sent to collections ever.

They are unwilling to provide him with any proof of this debt and say that the apartment company no longer owns this debt so contacting them is worthless.

Very Suspicious

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I have received 2 calls from Hunter Warfield in 2 days from 2 different people giving me 2 different amounts I supposed to owe an apartment complex from 2 1/2 years ago. They are offering me to pay in 3 installments but I don't know if they are legit or not.

Can someone tell me. I had another company call me a little over a month ago saying they were collecting on a debt and would be bringing me papers because I was being served.

Come to find out this company was getting ahold of people's old paid out accounts trying to cash in on them with scare tactics of being served. When I started asking them some legal questions they hung up on me.

Noah Johnson and Manager Steve Dale were two men I spoke with today. I asked them if they received tthe documentation showing I had no debt by providing the final inspection/move out paperrwork showing no unpaid rent was due. They both refused to "go back and pull up their records" and Steve Dale yelled at me!I feel so very disrespected as a woman for this MAN to think it should ever be okay to mistreat a woman, I am so taken back by this experience.SHAME ON YOU HUNTERWARFIELD for allowing mistreatment.

I'm having the same situation with HW. The person that I spoke to was very arrogant.

She would not let me talk to get a better understanding even after I acknowledged some of which she was speaking. She told me I was not in a position to speak.

Disrespectful, Unprofessional

Shouted at, interrupted several times, hung up on. Received 2 phone calls within 15 minutes from ex-in-law family saying Hunter Warfield had contacted them looking for my daughter claiming to be a lawyer.

They said these men were abrasive over the phone and disrespectful. Last week got a call from my cousin (same last name) saying they were looking for me. Last month another relative I hadn't spoke to in years sent me an email saying someone from Hunter Warfield contact them looking for me. I called HW back to request they stop the harassment of calling every person with our same last names - hung up on me.

Really? 10 minutes later called the number listed on the internet and spoke to yet another rude, unprofessional, smart-mouthed abrasive boy.

I worked collections, I get it but, never ever was I rude, disrespectful, threatening, raised my voice, hung up on a client, abusive or abrasive. We got a lot of flack and mouth from debtors but never did we thrash back - it never solves anything!

I am so tired of looking online and seeing an item, then click on "find it in the store" at (Akers Mill) 2967 Cobb parkway Atlanta GA. 30339.

It ALWAYS says unavailable. Yet when I go into the store they have plenty of them. The last time that happen was today (Feb 26,2016). I ordered a pair of " Patterned Pixie Chinos#208205 /size 2 for Women".

Online it says the item is unavailable, when in fact they had several. I should know because I went to the store during my lunch and tried on the pants. What makes me so angry is the fact that I ordered these pant online because, according to the website, it said they were unavailable in the store, and I paid almost 10.00 more online than I would have in the store. If the website was correct.

This is NOT the first time this has happen.

I would say it has happen at least 5 times. SOMEBODY, needs to do their job and update this information to match the stores inventory!

How is this legal?

There needs to be a option for zero and negative stars. Horrible, rude, and unprofessional. MAKENZIE is very rude and continuously speaks over me. From the first conversation she tried to make it sound like she was calling from a legal office representing Company XYZ. I asked if her office were lawyers, but after talking in circles she stated that Company XYZ was their client and they were attempting to collect a debt. Ah, debt collectors; interesting way to open up a conversation. I keep trying to explain that the information that she has is invalid. She is claiming that interest can be collected on any existing balance owed, but this is completely false. I asked if she could provide proof of this but she kept repeating that she does not have any paperwork in front of her, neither does her manager, but she knows this is what I agreed to. It is not. I have reread my paperwork and it does not state this anywhere. I stated that I am contesting the interest but her answer to this was to go ahead and give me the date that the interest will start accruing. I also asked for the total balanced owed, which we had not discussed previously. She hesitated then provided the balance, which did not seem right so I initially asked if there was a way I could get a breakdown. She stated that once they send something, since it costs the office money to do so, then I am locking myself into the entire amount and they would not be able to work out a settlement or payment plan. I immediately repeated back what she said to make sure I understood, that simply because I am questioning their numbers, I will be held to what they claim is the total owed if they send me a piece of paper in the mail? I immediately retracted the request and demanded that they not send anything because I refuse to be locked into an amount that I am actually questioning. I stated that I felt cornered like I was being steamrolled and that I would need to talk to someone before going further. She tried to cut in and state, “you already asked for it, so you want this mailed to…..” I made sure to say that this conversation is being recorded and I DO NOT want anything mailed to me. My next course of action is to get legal advice and support because nothing about this seems right. I will also be notifying the BBB. Please do not respond by asking me to contact your office, because that is nothing but a way to get people to call in so you can collect your money. You are not in the business of working with people; you just want your money by any means necessary. How is this legal?
